Tyler’s Meet the Teacher Night

Last week was Tyler’s Meet the Teacher night. Luckily, he has been watching Ethan attend preschool over the last two years and understands routine. He also met the teacher last year. We’ve been talking about school a lot and he’s shown half apprehension and half excitement.

Well, at Meet the Teacher night, he was SO happy. He loved finding his folder and seat and we did the “room hunt” of finding all the various stations. We found his cubby and I made sure he knew where to find the potty. The last “find” was the treasure box with prizes to choose from, which he loved. He was so proud.

I was SO proud. Even Ethan was proud. He thought for sure Tyler was going to freak out. It wasn’t helping that he kept asking all week, “Are you going to cry, Tyler…it’s OK if you cry…”. Shush, Ethan! Not helping.

But, he was brave and happy to get his first tour of his classroom. My baby is growing up!
