John had business meetings last Friday in Flagstaff so we all piled into the car for a little road trip. The boys watched movies on the DVD player-including Peter Pan from Nana and Papa. They love the story now that they’ve been on the Disney ride.

We had dinner and froyo that night and also stopped at the Star-Gazing center. We all go to look through some pretty huge telescopes to see Jupiter and 4 of it’s moons. So cool! It was getting chilly for the boys so we called it a night after a little tour.

The next morning we stopped at the Deer Farm. The perk of being an early-to-rise family is that we enjoy opening hours. We were the first and only people at the farm. The goats were our first stop and then we entered the Deer pen. You follow the sidewalk around and they follow you (the food) while you feed them. They are the sweetest creatures. I wanted to squeeze all of them. We also stopped at the Sernior Pen where the aging deer are kept. There was one male who had the cloudiest eyes but was so sweet. His antlers even looked old. They have a camel and some bison too. Our last visit was with “Turk”-a Turkish Shepard-that is one of 4 dogs who roams the perimeter to keep out animals and people. He was really snuggly.
