Every Mom knows…time flies.

During Tyler’s naptime, I like to share some one on one time with Ethan. Today he wanted to cut paper and trace letters. The tracing cards use dry erase marker for practicing. We have this fun cutting book that has cute pictures for kids to cut out various objects to improve dexterity. He did about 6 pages today including a train that once cut, he taped together. He was so proud of it so we hung it on the wall.

After showing Ethan his preschool program video, he saw some older videos in the sidebar. We went through a bunch. He is fascinated by seeing himself as a baby. This one is from May 2009…4 years ago. Everyone tells you how fast time will fly but I really didn’t get it. Now, however, the understanding has set in for sure.

It’s so fun to be present every day in the boys’ lives and watch them grow. As their Mom, each year is full of love and laughter (and butt-wiping, laundry, potty cleanings-boys are gross, cheerio vacuuming, and ouchy kisses….and so on…). As Mother’s Day approaches, I hope any Mom reading this holds a bright invisible feather in her cap this week. We are part of a special club where the hugs we give last long after we let go.

Happy early Mother’s Day to my Mom who teaches me every day that a woman filled with love and unstoppable sarcasm is a woman to admire. Sending you big hugs from Arizona! xoxo

Love to all the gals who show me what it means to be a loving Mom!
